  5. Add the karela pieces and if you want to make it more palatable add few drops of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of honey or salt for taste. Blend until smooth.

  6. Strain to filter to get as much juice as possible. Have immediately or chill.

  7. You can also add other fruits or vegetables to mask the bitter taste.

 Side Effects:

The bitter taste of karela or karela juice may be unpleasant for some people.

Over consumption of karela juice may cause digestive discomfort like an upset stomach.

It may not be suitable for everyone and so people with diabetes and those on medication should seek medical advice from their doctor before beginning a karela juice course due to its effect on blood sugar.
