Recently, leading podcaster, entrepreneur, and author took to his Instagram handle “Figuring Out with with Raj Shamani” (@figuringout.co) and held a conversation with dietitian Sonia Narang to discuss the vitamin C content of blueberries and guava and which fruit offers higher vitamin C.

Her answer left Shamani completely in awe when she divulged that blueberries contain only approximately 9.8% vitamin C while the vitamin C content of guava stood at a staggering high of 228%. She said that guava offers nearly 20 times higher vitamin C than blueberries. “Guava has fibre, it has way more vitamin C than blueberries, she added.

How Much Vitamin C Should You Have Every Day?

The recommended daily intake of vitamin C for adults ranges between 65 to 90 mg per day while for women is 75 mg. Meanwhile, 100 grams of guava can offer you 228 mg of vitamin C, according to Times of India. It implies that just one serving of guava can fulfill more than double daily needs while blueberries offer much smaller portion.

It is worth noting that guava contains 228 mg of vitamin C while blueberries offers nearly 9.8 mg of vitamin C.

Why Guava Is A Powerhouse Of Vitamin C
