1 cup moong daal (either yellow or green split)
1 small chopped onion
1-2 chopped green chillies
1 tablespoon of grated ginger
½ tablespoon of cumin seeds
¼ tablespoon of turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Water (as per requirement)
1 or 2 tablespoon of ghee for cooking
You may add chopped spinach, carrot, or coriander leaves (optional)
How To Cook?
Wash the lentils properly and let them soak in water for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
Drain water adequately
Grind the soaked dal, add some water, and prepare a smooth and thick batter.
Add salt, cumin seeds, turmeric, ginger, green chillies, vegetables, and onion. Mix properly.
Heat a non-stick or iron tawa on medium flame.
Lightly grease the tawa with oil or ghee.
