She said, “mono dieting is a very powerful technique to reset your gut, your metabolism, to correct your weight, achieve the right BMI, to lose weight, mental clarity, and to cleanse your colon, and cleanse undigested foods. Given below are rules you should follow:
1. Intermittent Fasting: Here is number one thing that you must remember. Mono dieting comes with a lot of protocols. You must do intermittent fasting from sunset to sunrise. Give your body, your liver, your kidney complete rest from 12 to 16 hours from sunset to sunrise when you do not consume solid foods. This allows your liver to detoxify your system, said Dimple Jangda.
2. Stick To One Recipe: If you are going to do mono dieting, stick to one simple recipe that you are going to consume everyday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for at least one day, three days, five days, or seven days for a maximum period of time, because you do not want to end up having a nutritional deficiency and losing muscle mass, emphasized Jangda.
3. Get Enough Soluble Fibre: Make sure you are getting enough insoluble fibre from vegetables and fruits because there are a lot of toxins and poisons that’s collected in your body already but you need to provide that insoluble fibre that works like a mesh, that works like a brush going through your system from the esophagus, stomach, small, large intestine, collecting all the toxins and poisons and bringing it out of your system. Insoluble fibre is something that your body can not break down, but it acts like an internal scraping mechanism or a brush that cleanses your system from inside.
So make sure to have two bowls of fruits even when you are mono dieting. You can have fruits at 8 in the morning, 1 hour before breakfast, or 2 hours after breakfast if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic because you do not want to have a sugar spike.
You can have the bowl of fruits at 4 in the evening as a snack instead of looking out for some salty, deep fried snacks.
You can also have two bowls of vegetables that are steamed, blanched, sautéed, lightly cooked. Make sure to avoid raw salads because we do not want to expose ourselves to pathogens and parasites that survive on the surface of these vegetables.
