The Samsung Galaxy S26 series India launch is all set to take place alongside the global announcement. The Galaxy S26 series will include three smartphones -- Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra -- as the successors to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, which were announced last year. Ahead of the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, let us take a look at the launch date, expected price in India, specifications, colour options, and all key details.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on February 25.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event will be held globally in San Francisco at 10 AM PT. However, viewers in India will be able to watch the livestream at 11:30 PM (IST).
The event will be live-streamed via the company’s official site, YouTube channel, and Samsung Newsroom.
While the price of the Galaxy S26 series will be revealed at the event tomorrow, leaked reports hint that the Samsung Galaxy S26 price is expected to start at Rs 82,999.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26+ might be launched for Rs 99,999, and the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra price in India is expected to be Rs 1,32,999 for the base variant.
The upcoming Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra will be available for purchase via the company's official site, e-commerce platforms, and retail stores across the country.
The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to launch in standard colour options, including Black, White, Cobalt Violet, and Sky Blue. However, the Galaxy S26 Ultra online-exclusive colour options are said to be Silver/Silver Shadow and Pink Gold.
Though not officially confirmed, the standard Galaxy S26 will likely boast a 6.3-inch display, while the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra are said to offer 6.7-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
All the models in the series will include AMOLED 2X panels with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and protection from Corning Gorilla Armor 2.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are expected to be powered by the Exynos 2600 deca-core processor in some markets. However, the Galaxy S26+ might be launched in select markets with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in all markets.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ might feature at least 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
All three devices are expected to run Android 16-based One UI 8.5, with 7 years of major OS upgrades and security patches.
Notably, the update will likely focus primarily on enhanced Galaxy AI features, including upgraded Photo Assist for uninterrupted image generation, improved Quick Share with smart contact suggestions, a potential Bixby revival with natural language, and more.
The upcoming Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ might include a 50MP OIS-enabled primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, a 12MP ultrawide sensor with a 120-degree field of view, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to sport a 200MP OIS-enabled main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view, a 50MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
All the Galaxy S26 series smartphones will likely flaunt a 12MP selfie camera, said to be capable of recording 4K videos.
The Galaxy S26 is expected to house a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging, while the Galaxy S26+ may feature a 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging support. On the other hand, the Ultra variant might come with a 5,000mAh battery with 60W wired charging support.
The Galaxy S26 series phones are expected to include 5G, USB-C, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and more.
