It looks like the Realme 16 might be positioned as a performance-focused mid-range smartphone for users who are looking for long battery life, a high-refresh AMOLED display, and stable everyday performance rather than flagship-level power.
Following the launch of the Realme 16 Pro series in India, the Realme 16 is expected to be announced soon. While the official details are yet to be revealed, the Realme 16 has appeared on Geekbench, a cross-platform benchmarking site.
The Geekbench listing suggests some key details of the Realme 16, including the chipset and RAM. Notably, some leaks regarding the phone have recently appeared online. Let us see what the Geekbench listing suggests about the upcoming phone.
Spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the Realme 16 prototype has appeared on Geekbench with the model number RMX5171. It has scored 809 points and 2,043 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
In the listing, the CPU details show a dual-cluster setup, with two cores running at 2.50GHz and six cores at 2.00GHz. Meanwhile, the source code also confirms a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Based on this core configuration and GPU, the chipset appears to be the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC.
However, a recent Vietnamese retailer listing suggested that the Realme 16 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset. While not confirmed, it is said that the processor remains unchanged and the “Turbo” branding likely refers to software-level tuning.
Apart from that, the listing suggests up to, or at least, 8GB of RAM and Android 16. No other details have been revealed so far through the listing.
A recent report suggests that the upcoming Realme 16 will sport a 6.57-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
The phone might pack a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP sensor on the rear, along with a 50MP selfie camera. It is expected to house a 7,000mAh battery with 60W fast charging. For durability, the phone may come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
The company has not revealed any details so far, and the launch timeline is still unknown. Therefore, we can expect more leaks and speculations regarding this device. Stay tuned for more updates.
