Tandoori Chicken Tacos are an enjoyable blend dish where spicy tandoori chicken meets soft Mexican-style tacos. And, the outcome is a colourful, appetizing snack that is ideal for parties, dinners, or evening delicacies.

Key Ingredients Required For Tandoori Chicken

·       300–400 g boneless chicken (chopped into small strips)

·       ½ cup thick curd

·       1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste

·       1 teaspoon of red chilli powder

·       1 teaspoon of tandoori masala

·       ½ teaspoon of turmeric

·       ½ teaspoon of cumin powder

·       ½ teaspoon of garam masala

·       1 tablespoon of lemon juice

·       1 tablespoon of oil

·       Salt to taste

For the Tacos

·       6 small tortillas (wheat or corn)

·       ½ cup sliced onions

·       ½ cup shredded lettuce or cabbage

·       ½ cup chopped tomatoes

·       Fresh coriander

·       Lemon wedges

For the Yogurt Sauce

·       3 tablespoons curd

·       1 tablespoon of mayonnaise (optional)

·       ½ teaspoon black pepper

·       ½ teaspoon chaat masala

·       Salt to taste

Instructions

·       Marinate the Chicken

·       In a bowl, add curd, ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric, tandoori masala, cumin, garam masala, lemon juice, oil, and salt.

·       Mix well to make a smooth marinade.

·       Add chicken pieces and coat evenly.

·       Rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Step 2: Cook the Chicken

You may cook it in three ways:

1. Tawa or Pan

·       Heat 1 tablespoon oil on a pan.

·       Add marinated chicken.

·       Cook on medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully cooked.

2. Oven

·       Preheat oven to 200°C.

·       Place chicken on a tray.

·       Bake for 15–18 minutes.

3. Air Fryer

·       Air fry at 180°C for 12–14 minutes.

·       Chicken should be slightly charred for real tandoori flavour.

 Prepare the Yogurt Sauce

·       Mix curd, mayo (optional), pepper, chaat masala, and salt.

·       This simple sauce adds creaminess and balances the spices.

Assemble the Tacos

·       Warm the tortillas for 10–20 seconds on a tawa.

·       Add some lettuce/cabbage as the base.

·       Place cooked tandoori chicken pieces.

·       Add onions, tomatoes, and coriander.

·       Drizzle the yogurt sauce on top.

·       Squeeze a little lemon.
