Check out all the expected details of the upcoming Vivo S60.
Smartphone brand Vivo announced the Vivo S50 in China, which was rebranded as the Vivo V70 Elite for global and Indian markets. Now, its successor is expected to make its debut in the home country. While the company has started to tease the phone, a tipster on X has come up with the launch timeline, expected price and other key details of the yet-to-be-launched phone. Here's everything the tipster has revealed so far.
As per tipster Sanju Choudhary, the Vivo S60 is expected to launch in China for CNY 3,299, approximately Rs 46,653 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
To recall, the Vivo S50 was announced for CNY 2,999 for the same storage variant, which translates to around Rs 42,408.
Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 was announced in India for Rs 45,999, whereas the Elite variant was priced at Rs 51,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model.
While the company has teased the launch of the Vivo S60 in China, the tipster claims it will be unveiled in May. It is worth noting that the Vivo S50 was launched in China in December 2025, suggesting that the Vivo V80 might launch sooner in India and global markets compared to its predecessor.
This will likely follow the company's established pattern of rebranding its China-exclusive S-series phones into the V-series for international audiences, including India, as seen with the previous S50 becoming the V70 series. However, the exact global launch details are yet to be revealed officially.
The teaser image reveals that the Vivo S60 will feature a sleek and minimal design and will likely flaunt a clean white rear panel with a slightly shimmering finish. It will include a large rectangular camera module featuring two large circular camera rings and a smaller third sensor below.
The overall layout gives the phone a modern, almost flagship-like appearance with subtle iPhone-inspired symmetry while still retaining Vivo's own design identity.
The Vivo S60 appears to feature flat edges with rounded corners, likely paired with a metal frame, making the upcoming phone look more refined and fashion-oriented compared to its predecessor.
The front will reportedly feature a centred punch hole flat display with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, while the volume rockers and power key will be placed on the right edge. For durability, the smartphone is tipped to include IP68 and IP69 ratings.
The Vivo S60 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to its predecessor. Notably, AMOLED displays are quite common in premium mid-range phones, offering perfect blacks and enhancing the overall experience with vibrant colours.
In terms of chipset, the Vivo S60 is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, touted as an efficient flagship-grade processor offering enhanced performance for multitasking, gaming, and on-device AI.
Notably, the Vivo V70 Elite also packs the same chipset, while the V70 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which is a mid-range processor offering strong multimedia, gaming, and on-device AI features. However, it sits below the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor in Qualcomm's lineup.
The smartphone is expected to be paired with at least 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage.
The camera setup will likely see the biggest upgrade compared to its predecessor, as the Vivo S60 is tipped to offer a 200MP HP5 main camera, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto camera.
It is worth noting that the predecessor, along with the V70 and V70 Elite, features a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera. However, the Vivo S60 will likely retain the 50MP selfie camera already seen on the Vivo S50 and V70 series phones.
While the Vivo S50 and other V70 series phones house a 6,500mAh battery, the S60 is confirmed to include a slightly larger 7,200mAh battery. It is expected to support 90W wired fast charging, similar to its predecessor.
There are several smartphones in the affordable segment that offer a 7,000mAh battery, including the Realme P4 5G. However, it is among the few phones in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment to offer such a massive battery along with 80W fast charging support.
It is worth noting that Vivo is yet to reveal the official launch date of the Vivo S60 and confirm whether it will arrive in global markets as the Vivo V80. However, considering the brand’s previous pattern, it is likely. Stay tuned for more updates.
