Following a recent leak that suggested the launch timeline of the Vivo V70 series, including the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite, the smartphone brand has officially teased both smartphones, suggesting that they might be unveiled soon in the country.
Vivo has launched a microsite for the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite, which hints at some key details of these smartphones, including their design, build quality, display, camera, and chipset, among other details. Let us check out the features of the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite phones.
According to the company, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will be unveiled soon, as its post on X says, "the countdown begins for the launch of the most exciting Vivo V series phone".
This aligns with a recent report that said the Vivo V70 series phone will be unveiled in India in February. However, the report, as well as the company, did not clarify the exact launch date.
While not confirming model-wise specifications, the microsite mentions that the Vivo V70 series will be unveiled in a Passion Red colour.
These phones will come with an aerospace-grade aluminium alloy frame with a polished finish. Both V-series phones will feature narrow bezels for an immersive display experience, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In terms of display, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will flaunt a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra-Clear OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5,000 nits peak brightness, similar to the Vivo S50, which was recently launched in China.
Similar to what a recent leak suggests, Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo V70 will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Elite model will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
In terms of cameras, the Vivo V70 series will pack an OIS-enabled 50MP Zeiss main camera and a 50MP Zeiss telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. Without revealing the sensor size, Vivo has mentioned that the series will feature a Zeiss ultra-wide-angle camera. Meanwhile, leaks suggest that it could be an 8MP Zeiss ultra-wide-angle sensor.
For selfies and video calls, the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will sport a 50MP front camera with a wide field of view.
The Vivo V70 series will house a 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery with 90W FlashCharge support. Additionally, the company said that it will support Multi-Scenario Bypass Charging, where power is delivered directly to performance during heavy gaming or streaming to help reduce heat and improve stability.
The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will run on OriginOS and will offer up to 6 years of security update promise. Additionally, they are confirmed to feature 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 with anti-spoofing and wet-finger support.
While the company has revealed most of the details, the launch date, pricing, and availability information are expected to be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
