Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo T5x 5G will launch in India on March 17 at 12 pm (IST). The upcoming budget smartphone is teased to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, a 7,200mAh battery, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, along with IP68 and IP69 ratings.
The Vivo T5x 5G is all set to launch in India next week as the successor to the Vivo T4x 5G, announced last year. It is expected to be launched as a budget phone. Alongside the launch date, some key features of the smartphone have also been revealed, including its colour options, battery capacity and more. Here's what the company has revealed so far.
Via a microsite and X (formerly Twitter), the company has revealed that the Vivo T5x 5G will launch in India on March 17 at 12 pm (IST). The upcoming Vivo T5x 5G will be launched in two colour options -- Cyber Green and Star Silver.
The Vivo T5x 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chipset, which is said to be an efficient chipset for budget-to-midrange phones in the country.
Vivo says that the upcoming T5x 5G will be the fastest phone in the under Rs 23,000 price segment, as the chip has crossed the 1-million mark on AnTuTu. However, the official price of the phone will be revealed at the launch.
While all the storage variants are not confirmed yet, the Vivo T5x 5G will surely offer 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage (8GB + 256GB variant). It is expected to be available in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB storage variants.
The company has confirmed that the Vivo T5x 5G will feature a 7,200mAh battery, which is claimed to be the largest in the segment. It will likely feature up to 44W wired fast charging support. Along with that, it will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
Furthermore, the upcoming Vivo T5x 5G is confirmed to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, compared to an IP64 rating on the Vivo T4x 5G.
