The iQOO 15R is all set to be launched in India as the first smartphone under the R-series, and will sit below the iQOO 15 in the lineup as a sub-flagship device. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed some key specifications of the upcoming iQOO 15R, including a 144Hz display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, up to 100W charging speed, Bluetooth 6, and more. The upcoming iQOO 15R is all set to be announced in India on February 24, following the unveiling of the iQOO 15 in December 2026. It is expected that the company will live stream the launch via the company's official YouTube channel.
While the exact pricing of the phone will be revealed at the launch, the iQOO 15R will start under Rs 50,000 for the base storage variant in India.
Post launch, the iQOO 15R will be available for purchase via the company's online store and e-commerce platform Amazon.
In terms of colour options, the iQOO 15R is confirmed to arrive in two colour options: Dark Knight and Triumph Silver.
The company has revealed some key specifications of the iQOO 15R, which align with a recent leak suggesting that the phone is a rebrand of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which is limited to China.
Like the Z11 Turbo, the iQOO 15R is expected to feature a 6.59-inch display. It is confirmed to be equipped with a 1.5K AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, 5,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support.
In terms of chipset, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with the Supercomputing Chip Q2, which is said to support up to 144FPS gameplay for a smoother gaming experience, along with a 6.5K Ice Core VC cooling system.
The iQOO 15R will run OriginOS 6 out of the box, offering a number of AI features, including Circle to Search, Google Gemini integration, AI Captions with real-time transcription and translation, and more. It is confirmed to offer up to four Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
The upcoming iQOO smartphone will feature a 7,600mAh battery with 100W charging support. The company claims that it can provide up to 44 percent of charge in just 10 minutes.
The company said that the phone will sport a Sony LYT-700V OIS camera but did not reveal complete details. However, a recent leak suggests it will flaunt a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP OIS Sony LYT main camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. There might be a 32MP sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.
The iQOO 15R is confirmed to feature IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 6, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, and an IR blaster.
