iQOO has confirmed some key details of the upcoming iQOO 15R through its X handle and Amazon microsite. It is also speculated that the iQOO 15R might be a rebrand of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was announced in China recently.
The iQOO 15R India launch is set for February 24. However, weeks before its official announcement, the company has started teasing several details of the upcoming smartphone. The company has now revealed a new colour variant of the iQOO 15R.
Alongside that, the Amazon microsite highlights some key specifications of the smartphone, which include its software and chipset details. Let us check out the new colour option and other key features of the yet-to-be-announced iQOO 15R.
So far, iQOO has been teasing the smartphone in a Blue colour variant. Now, the company has confirmed that the iQOO 15R will be available in the Dark Knight colour option. Notably, the Amazon microsite flaunts the phone in both colour options.
While the Blue colour variant flashes a checkered finish, the Dark Knight colour option offers a plain black look.
As per the Amazon microsite, the upcoming iQOO 15R will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is a 3nm flagship SoC. This processor is also seen in the OnePlus 15R.
The upcoming iQOO 15R will offer 1.5K game super resolution along with support for 144FPS game frame interpolation. Furthermore, the microsite claims up to 20 percent lower cellular gaming latency.
The iQOO 15R will run on OriginOS 6, and the microsite confirms that the phone will get four years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.
While more details of the iQOO 15R are reserved for the launch, it is speculated that the iQOO 15R is a rebrand of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was announced recently in China.
If that turns out to be true, the iQOO 15R is expected to flaunt a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
In terms of optics, the iQOO 15R could boast a 200MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide dual rear camera setup. Meanwhile, a 32MP sensor will likely be placed on the front for selfies.
We might also see a 7,600mAh battery with 100W fast charging support on the upcoming smartphone.
While the company has revealed some key details, we are weeks away from knowing whether these speculated features will be present in the phone. Stay tuned for more updates.
