The new "Member Tags" feature will let users add a short tag to their name in each group chat to show what they do or who they are in that group. Notably, this feature is particularly helpful in large groups where not everyone knows each other, such as school groups, clubs, or local communities.
With "Text Stickers," users can now turn messages into stickers and make them more eye-catching. They simply need to type the text they want, turn it into a sticker, and save it directly to their sticker collection for later use.
WhatsApp has also introduced another new feature, "Event Reminders," which allows users to create an event in a group chat and set reminders for everyone invited. These reminders help people remember to attend the event, whether it’s a party, meeting, or online call.
These newly announced WhatsApp group chat features are available to users worldwide. Notably, the company recently announced several other features, such as sharing large files up to 2GB, sending HD photos and videos, screen sharing, and voice chats.
