Following its global announcement at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is finally making its way to Indian consumers. Initially, the tablet was planned to launch alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra on March 11. However, the plan has now been changed, and it is now coming a little earlier than expected. Here's the new launch date, specifications, and other key details.
Via the official microsite, the company announced that the Xiaomi Pad 8 will be launched in India on March 10, and the Xiaomi 17 series will be announced the next day (March 11).

In the global market, the Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at EUR 449.99, which converts to Rs 47,863 for the 8GB + 128GB storage variant. It is is expected to be launched in Pine Green, Blue, and Gray colour options in India.
However, official details regarding the India pricing of the tablet will be revealed at the launch.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch 3.2K 144Hz display, similar to the Xiaomi Pad 7. However, the Pad 8 offers up to 800 nits peak brightness compared to 600 nits on the predecessor. It also includes features like HDR10, Dolby Vision, Sunlight mode, Wet Touch technology, and more.
In terms of chipset, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, compared to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset seen on the Pad 7. It runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
Similar to the predecessor, the Xiaomi Pad 8 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.
However, the battery capacity has been upgraded to 9,200mAh from 8,850mAh on the Pad 7. It retains the 45W fast charging support.
Other key features include Netflix HDR10, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, and more.
