The Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are official in China, and now these flagship phones might soon be launched in India and globally. While the company hasn't made any announcement so far, a tipster has come up with the launch details of these Xiaomi smartphones.
Notably, these smartphones feature high-end specs, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 50MP main camera, 50MP front-facing camera, and much more. Let us take a look at the expected India launch details of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Tipster Yogesh Brar, via X (formerly Twitter), has tipped that the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will come to India in early March, after their global debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from March 2 to March 5.
The tipster did not reveal the exact launch date, but it seems like the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra might go official in India before March 10.
Additionally, the tipster also mentioned that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will be launched in select global markets by February 28.
As the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra are official in China, here are the specifications of the Chinese variants, which we might also see in the global and Indian variants.
Display: While the Xiaomi 17 boasts a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, the Ultra variant packs a 6.9-inch 2K OLED LTPO display.
Chipset: In terms of chipset, both smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is designed for high-end flagship smartphones.
Cameras: The Xiaomi 17 packs a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.31-inch Light Fusion 950 sensor, 50MP Leica ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50MP Leica telephoto camera. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a 50MP Leica main camera with a 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor, 50MP Leica ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 200MP Leica super telephoto sensor with a 1/1.4-inch HPE image sensor. Both phones pack a 50MP selfie camera.
Battery, charging: The Xiaomi 17 has a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging. Meanwhile, the Ultra model houses a 6,800mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
IP ratings: The Xiaomi 17 offers an IP68 rating, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes equipped with IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
In China, the Xiaomi 17 starts at CNY 4,499, which approximately translates to Rs 58,425, for the 12GB+256GB variant. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra starting price is set at CNY 6,999, around Rs 90,915, for the 12GB+512GB model.
