Samsung has launched the next-generation flagship phones, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event globally, with India pricing announced.

The all-new Galaxy S26 series features Privacy Display, high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, powerful chipsets, upgraded camera systems and long-term software support, along with Galaxy AI enhancements. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are powered by Samsung's first 2nm Exynos 2600 in Europe, India and other global markets. Meanwhile, in countries like the US, Canada and China, it will include the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ share the same camera setup, which includes a 50MP OIS main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, there's a 12MP sensor on the front, which is capable of 4K video recording.

The Galaxy S26 is equipped with a 4,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging support, while the Galaxy S26+ houses a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging support. These phones also support Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare.

The top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness and Vision Booster. The model also includes a stylus.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset in all markets, including India. This chipset is said to deliver 19 percent faster performance for AI queries and on-device data processing.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra boasts a quad rear camera setup, featuring a 200MP OIS main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It also has a 12MP front camera capable of 4K video recording.

In terms of battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a 5,000mAh battery, offering 60W wired charging support, along with Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare support.

These newly launched devices run Android 16-based One UI 8.5, offering 7 years of major OS upgrades and security patches.

All the Samsung Galaxy S26 series phones have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, indicating they can be submerged up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, connectivity features include USB-C, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and more.

AI Features

In terms of AI features, these phones will include enhanced Galaxy AI features, such as improved Quick Share with smart contact suggestions, upgraded Photo Assist for uninterrupted image generation, integrated Perplexity AI, AI Screenshot Analyzer, Live Translation 2.0, upgraded Bixby, Gemini and more. Meanwhile, the built-in Privacy Display is exclusive to the Ultra variant.

Additionally, the series also includes some new features. While Circle to Search can now recognise multiple objects within a single image, Now Nudge provides context-aware suggestions. Furthermore, Now Brief has also become more proactive and personalised.
