The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has been launched in India with a 5,800mAh battery, 50MP camera, and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. While it offers a strong display and battery life, it faces tough competition in its price segment.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is now official in India as a special edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G, which was announced in India in January. It includes features like a 50MP main camera, a bigger battery, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and more. Here's the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G price, features, and whether it's worth buying.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G price starts at Rs 19,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB models are priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 22,999, respectively.
Post launch, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will be available for sale via the company's official site, Flipkart, and retail stores from April 7.
This special edition smartphone is being offered in three colour options -- Crimson Reserve, Frosted White, and Carbon Black.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G features a 6.77-inch curved FHD+ AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,200 nits peak brightness, similar to the Redmi Note 15 5G China variant.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which also powers the Indian and China variants of the Redmi Note 15 5G.
It is a mid-range 5G chipset designed for efficient daily performance and smooth casual gaming. It is claimed to deliver 10 percent faster CPU, 30 percent better GPU, and 20 percent improved AI performance compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC.
The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G ships with Android 15-based HyperOS 2, offering 2 years of major Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It will include AI features such as Circle to Search, Gemini support, AI assistance for everyday tasks and more.
In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G sports a 50MP main camera with a 1/2.88-inch Light Hunter 400 sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, the smartphone includes an 8MP selfie camera.
Like the China variant of the Redmi Note 15 5G, this special edition smartphone houses a 5,800mAh battery, which the company claims can provide over 44 hours of usage on a single charge. It offers 45W wired fast charging support.
Meanwhile, the IP65 and IP66 ratings indicate that the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is protected against dust and water splashes, while MIL-STD-810H certification ensures better durability against drops, shocks, and tough conditions.

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G looks like a rebranded version of the Chinese Redmi Note 15 5G. It comes with a bigger 5,800mAh battery, which is a nice upgrade, but it drops the camera from 108MP to 50MP. So, while it should attract people who care more about battery life and the bright curved AMOLED display, the camera downgrade might disappoint some buyers.
At this price, it will go up against the Vivo T4x 5G, Moto G67 Power 5G, and OPPO K13 5G. Both the Vivo and Moto pack stronger chipsets -- Dimensity 7300 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 -- so they feel smoother for gaming and heavy multitasking compared to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in the Redmi. The OPPO K13 5G, on the other hand, stands out with its fast 80W charging and a bigger 7,000mAh battery.
On paper, the Redmi has one of the best curved AMOLED displays with high brightness in this segment, but its rivals offer either much bigger batteries, faster charging, or better performance. It really depends on what matters most to you.
Overall, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is a decent choice if you want a premium-looking screen and good battery backup. But if you care more about performance, fast charging, or a more versatile camera, the other three might give you better value.
