Motorola has launched the Edge 70 Fusion in India with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, Android 16, and a 7,000mAh battery. The phone starts at Rs 26,999. Following teasers, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is now official in India as the successor to the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. Its key specifications include an AMOLED display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, Android 16, and a 7,000mAh battery. The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion price starts at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage variants are priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively.
The all-new Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will go on sale starting March 12th, 12 PM onwards, via the company's official site, Flipkart, and leading retail stores.

On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion was launched at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model, while the 12GB + 256GB storage variant was announced at Rs 24,999.
However, the phone is currently listed on Flipkart with a new base variant, starting at Rs 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are priced at Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively.

Durability
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion and the Edge 60 Fusion offer strong build quality with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification for enhanced durability against drops, shocks, extreme temperatures, and vibrations. Alongside that, these phones are equipped with IP68 and IP69 ratings, which indicate that they are protected against dust ingress and can withstand water immersion as well as high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
Display
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion flaunts a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate, 5,200 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. Meanwhile, the predecessor offers a smaller 6.67-inch 1.5K pOLED display, up to a 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. Both phones are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i with an anti-fingerprint coating. Notably, the Edge 70 Fusion has an upper hand here with a bigger display, higher refresh rate, and brightness levels.
Chipset & Storage
The newly announced Edge 70 Fusion is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 4nm chipset with an Adreno 810 GPU, while the Edge 60 Fusion is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 4nm processor with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. Both smartphones offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion surpasses the Edge 60 Fusion in terms of chipset performance, as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC delivers noticeably stronger overall results, while the Dimensity 7400 holds up well for basic multitasking.

While the Edge 70 Fusion runs Hello UI based on Android 16 out of the box, offering three years of OS updates and five years of security updates, the Edge 60 Fusion was launched with Hello UI on Android 15 and is promised three major OS updates and four years of security patches.
The Edge 70 Fusion has the upper hand in software support, as it starts on the newer Android 16 and gets an extra year of security updates, even though both receive three major OS upgrades.
Cameras
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion packs a 50MP OIS main camera with a Sony LYTIA 710 sensor and a 13MP ultrawide sensor with a macro option. Meanwhile, the Edge 60 Fusion offers the same 50MP OIS primary camera, but with a Sony LYT-700C sensor, along with a 13MP ultrawide camera with a macro option. Both smartphones feature a 32MP selfie camera on the front with an f/2.2 aperture.
Notably, both phones have a similar camera setup, but the Edge 70 Fusion offers a slight edge because of its newer Sony LYTIA 710 main sensor, which offers better low-light performance and AI processing compared to the Edge 60 Fusion's Sony LYT-700C sensor.
