Summary

The Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 delivers an immersive ultrawide OLED experience with strong visuals and smooth performance. However, the aggressive curve limits its versatility, making it less suitable for productivity-heavy use and competitive gaming. It is best suited for users who prioritise immersion over practicality.

A good monitor usually fades into the background. It's not something you actively think about once you start using it. The Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 does the opposite. Its size and curvature become the focal point once you sit in front of the monitor.

I have been using it for a few weeks across both work and gaming.

After using it for a while, I can say that this monitor is not for everyone, and is clearly made with one thing in mind -- immersion. But the question is -- does it actually work in real use? Let's find out.

Specs at a Glance

Design & First Impressions

The first thing you will notice about the Legion Pro 34WD-10 is the space it takes up. It is worth noting that the Legion Pro 34WD-10 is not a monitor that blends into your system. It becomes the system.

On my desk, the monitor felt noticeably larger than what I was used to. I was earlier using a 21-inch screen, and switching to this meant clearing up space and adjusting a few things on my desk. The extreme curve of the display does nothing to help the monitor blend into the system.

Getting the display set up is rather simple, but you'll need to make sure you have it set up correctly. Unlike a non-curved display, the Legion Pro 34WD-10 really does require you to be sitting directly in front of the display. Any other way, and the experience just isn't as good.

The stand itself is rather nice, but it does take up a fair amount of space on your desk. If you have a small desk, you'll need to take this into account.

The stand is well-built, and port access is quite convenient.

In terms of the ports, access is pretty good, but getting around the back of the display when everything is plugged in isn't the most convenient.

Furthermore, you will find the speakers on the monitor to be decent for basic use. But you don't get much depth or bass. I would suggest using headphones or external speakers while gaming.

Immersion & Display Experience

The Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 comes with a 34-inch OLED ultrawide display and a resolution of 3440 x 1440. What really stands out, though, is the 800R curvature, which doesn't just sit there in front of you. In fact, it wraps around your field of view a bit.

While gaming, you can see more of your surroundings without having to move the camera too much, thanks to the 21:9 aspect ratio. It helps you view everything within your field of view without having to change your focus too much.

I found it to be good for action-adventure or role-playing games like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, or The Witcher 3, as well as FPS titles like Fortnite, Valorant, Overwatch, and Call of Duty, where you see more of your surroundings, obstacles, and enemies.

However, the sharp curve can be a distraction in FPS games, as it makes horizontal eye-scanning unnatural, increases awareness of distortion, and can interfere with precision aiming or tracking.

On the other hand, for racing games like Forza Horizon or Gran Turismo, you get more of the landscape, which looks great and enhances immersion with better peripheral landscape visibility.

The OLED panel really sets this monitor apart, with blacks being extremely deep and rich, colours jumping out with vibrant life, and you can really feel the quality difference right away, even with basic activities like web surfing or office work.

The VRR and HDR support really enhances this experience, offering good contrast, vivid details, and engaging visuals that really pop in games and content. However, in bright environments with large highlight areas, it offers great performance, just not the absolute peak brightness (up to around 1300 nits) available from some competitors.

The experience is clearly designed for immersion, and it does that well, but it also feels a bit situational depending on what you're doing.

The immersion it offers is something you don’t really get with a regular monitor, and that does stand out over time.

Gaming Performance

In terms of gaming performance, the monitor does a great job with a high refresh rate of up to 240Hz. Notably, the high refresh rate makes the device very responsive, along with making the motion handling effective.

My experience with the device suggests that the OLED screen makes the response time faster (around 0.03ms), ensuring that motion blur remains at a minimum. Thanks to this, you get consistent gaming performance.

It's quite clear that the Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 offers a noticeable difference in terms of smoothness and responsiveness when compared to a standard 60Hz or even 120Hz display. While using the device, movements feel more controlled, and transitions appear cleaner, especially in fast-paced moments.

Even during longer sessions, the monitor remains comfortable to use and doesn’t feel distracting.

That said, it does not really feel like a monitor designed for competitive gaming. It does work well, but the overall feel is more towards consistency and smoothness rather than precise control. If you are into esports titles, a smaller and flatter screen may be more comfortable.

Work & Everyday Use

This monitor by Lenovo is convenient and does make a noticeable difference while using it in your daily life, especially for those who work on multiple windows or need a dual-monitor setup. It allows you to keep multiple windows open side by side without constantly switching between tabs.

Text clarity is also good overall, and reading or browsing doesn’t feel like a compromise despite the OLED panel.

However, if you are more into writing, reading, or scrolling through long documents, you might keep noticing the curve. Though it's not something uncomfortable, it's also not something you completely forget about.

From my experience, I can say that you do get used to it over time, but it never fully disappears.

Though the monitor does work well for productivity, it should not be forgotten that it is designed with immersion in mind first, and everything else comes after.

What Works / What Doesn't

Verdict

Priced at Rs 1,09,000 on the official site and Amazon, the Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 has one major highlight, and that is immersion. In this area, the monitor performs a great job and offers a noticeably different experience compared to some QD-OLED rivals available in the market.

Additionally, the ultrawide OLED panel and aggressive curve make gaming and content consumption feel more engaging, which you will notice from the moment you start using it.

While it does a lot of things well, it also has a few limitations.

At times, the curve can feel a bit excessive, most likely while reading or writing. Additionally, this monitor might not hook you if you are into competitive gaming as your priority will likely be performance more than visuals.

Overall, if you want a more immersive experience when it comes to gaming or watching content, then this monitor makes a strong case. However, if you want something more practical or easily adaptable, then it might not be the best choice for you.

Buy it if you:

  • Want one of the most immersive single-monitor gaming experiences available

  • Play narrative, open-world, or racing games where the wide FoV and OLED contrast genuinely elevate the experience

  • Want a monitor that doubles as a USB-C docking hub for a laptop

  • Do moderate creative work where colour accuracy and screen real estate matter

Look elsewhere if you:

  • Primarily play competitive esports titles where precision and flat geometry matter more than immersion

  • Work mostly with text documents, spreadsheets, or code for long hours

  • Have a tight budget, as comparable QD-OLED ultrawide options start lower
