Following the launch of the Lava Blaze Duo 3, the smartphone brand has launched the Lava Yuva Star 3, which comes as a successor to the Lava Yuva Star 2. It is an entry-level smartphone and features an HD+ display, a 5,000mAh battery, an IP64 rating, and much more. Take a look at the price and features of the newly announced Lava Yuva Star 3.
The Lava Yuva Star 3 is priced at Rs 7,499 for the sole variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The smartphone is available in Indus Black and Siachen White colour options via retail outlets in India.
Like its predecessor launched last year in May, the Lava Yuva Star 3 boasts a 6.75-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
While the Yuva Star 2 is powered by the Unisoc 9863A processor, the Lava Yuva Star 3 features the Unisoc SC9863A chipset paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
This newly announced phone runs Android 14 Go.
The camera setup of the Lava Yuva Star 3 is similar to the Yuva Star 2, with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera.
In terms of battery, the Lava Yuva Star 3 has a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging, similar to the predecessor.
The Yuva Star 3 is equipped with an IP64 water and dust resistance rating, compared to an IP54 rating on the predecessor.
The Lava Yuva Star 3 resembles the Lava Yuva Star 2, with a similar display, camera setup, and battery capacity. The only changes you will see in the successor phone are the chipset, IP rating, and a minor design change.
In terms of pricing, the Lava Yuva Star 2 was launched for Rs 6,499, but it is now priced at Rs 7,499 on Flipkart. Notably, this is also the launch price of the Yuva Star 3.
Therefore, if you are planning to buy the Yuva Star 2 at its current price, you may find the Yuva Star 3 to be a more sensible option. However, if you are an existing Yuva Star 2 user, you may not find enough reasons to upgrade.
