In a bid to take on Meta Ray-Bans and Amazon Echo Frames, Reliance Jio announced the Jio Frames last year during Reliance Industries' 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Now, the company has showcased it at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. This AI smart glass is powered by Jio Voice AI and is built with an India-first approach. Let us check out all the features and other key details of the Jio Frames.
Jio Frames are AI-powered smart glasses that come with inbuilt AI, camera, audio, and sensors in order to offer a range of hands-free experiences. It is touted to be a hands-free, voice-first wearable companion tailored for the Indian market.
The Jio Frames allow users to make and receive calls, stream music, along with taking pictures, recording videos, or live streaming with the HD camera, all hands-free.
With the AI-powered smart glasses, users can track their steps, get wellness tips, and monitor their overall daily health via voice.
With Jio's Voice AI Assistant, the Jio Frames can answer questions, suggest ideas, and manage tasks, meetings, and reminders.
As the smart glasses are built with an India-first approach, they support multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, and more.
The Jio smart glasses also enable real-time voice and text translation to make them more user-friendly.
However, what the company hasn't revealed so far is its pricing, availability, battery details, processor, IP ratings, and other features.
At the time of writing, the Jio Frames are not yet available for purchase and still let users register their interest via a mobile number and OTP form. There are no "Buy Now," "Pre-order," pricing, or direct purchase options listed.
