The iPhone 18 Pro's launch is expected to take place in the second half of 2026. However, leaks and speculations regarding the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro have already started surfacing online. While the official details regarding the iPhone 18 Pro will only be revealed at the launch, a new video on YouTube points out some key features of the Pro model, including its design, display, chipset, colour options, and more. Let us take a look at the expected details of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro.
In a video posted on YouTube, Front Page Tech's Jon Prosser said that the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a similar design to the iPhone 17 Pro, launched last year. However, it will come with a new under-display Face ID, and the front camera will be moved to the top-left corner. Meanwhile, the Dynamic Island, which was first seen in the iPhone 14 Pro, will remain part of the software experience but will be smaller and repositioned.
In terms of colour options, the iPhone 18 Pro might be unveiled in some new shades, including Purple, Brown, and Burgundy.
According to Prosser, the tech giant is also planning to remove capacitive touch support and retain only pressure-based input for the camera control button in order to reduce complexity and repair costs. Meanwhile, the camera setup might also incorporate a variable aperture lens for adjusting lighting conditions. However, this feature might only be limited to the iPhone 18 Pro Max variant.
The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro will likely be equipped with the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process, which is expected to enhance the phone's performance and efficiency.
Additionally, the video mentions that the tech giant is also working on enabling 5G connectivity via satellites in order to expand its satellite-based Emergency SOS feature introduced with the iPhone 14.
On the other hand, a recent report suggests that the tech giant might not launch the standard iPhone 18 this year. You can read more about it here. It is worth noting that these details are not official, and we are still months away from the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro. Therefore, these details should be treated as leaks.
