

Smartphone brands - Redmi, Realme, Motorola, OPPO, and POCO - are gearing up to kick off 2026 with a wave of launches, aiming to grab attention of Indian smartphone buyers with new designs, upgraded hardware, and competitive pricing. Expect these players to unveil affordable to mid-range smartphones this week (Jan 5 - Jan 9, 2026). Here's a list of the smartphones that will be launched this week; take a look at their India launch dates, expected key features, specifications, prices, and more.
The Redmi Note 15 is set to launch in India on January 6 as the successor to the Redmi Note 14. Meanwhile, the Pro variants are expected to arrive in the country at a later date.
The Redmi Note 15 will feature a curved-edge design with a centrally placed square-shaped camera module. In terms of specifications, it is confirmed to offer a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. This is comparatively larger than the 6.67-inch display with 2,100 nits peak brightness found on the Redmi Note 14. Notably, the phone will also feature TÜV triple eye care certification and Hydro Touch 2.0 support.
While the Redmi Note 14 was announced with the MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset, its successor will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, which is claimed to deliver up to 48 months of lag-free performance. In terms of battery, the Redmi Note 15 will feature a 5,520mAh battery, compared to the 5,110mAh unit on the Redmi Note 14. The Redmi Note 15 will support 45W fast charging.
While details about the camera setup remain limited, the smartphone is confirmed to pack a 108MP primary sensor with OIS. The sensor is said to support multifocal portraits, dynamic shots, and 4K video recording. The phone will also feature an IP66 rating for protection against water and dust.
The India pricing of the Redmi Note 15 remains unknown. However, as per tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) on X, the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants might be priced at Rs 22,999 and Rs 24,999, respectively.
The realme 16 Pro series will consist of two smartphones — the realme 16 Pro and realme 16 Pro+ — and will be launched in India on January 6. Both phones will feature up to 6,500 nits peak brightness and a massive 7,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
While the realme 16 Pro variant will pack the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, the realme 16 Pro+ model will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, which was also seen on the previous-generation model.
Additionally, the upcoming realme 16 Pro and Pro + will feature a 200MP primary camera with AI portrait filters and more. Meanwhile, the Pro+ variant will also include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens.
The Pro+ variant is confirmed to feature IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, ensuring resistance to dust, water immersion, and high-temperature, high-pressure water jets.
Rumours doing the rounds on the web peg realme 16 Pro's price at around ₹40,000. Reports suggest that the Pro+ model might launch at Rs 43,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. There is no word yet from realme on the official pricing yet. One would have to wait for January 6.
OPPO has also scheduled the launch of its mid-range Oppo Reno 15 series for January 8. This time, there will be three phones under the lineup — the OPPO Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini.
As the name suggests, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Mini will be a compact device featuring a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The Reno 15 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a larger 6.78-inch AMOLED display, while the base variant is expected to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel.
While there is no official confirmation yet, the Pro variants are expected to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, whereas the base variant may pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. All three smartphones are expected to feature IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications.
The OPPO Reno 15 Pro Mini and Reno 15 Pro are expected to feature a 200MP primary camera, along with a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Meanwhile, the OPPO Reno 15 5G may come with a 50MP main camera.
While the official pricing of the devices has not been announced yet, a recent leak suggests that the Reno 15 Pro Mini with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at Rs 59,999 in India.
The POCO M8 5G will be launched in India on January 8 as the successor to the POCO M7 5G. It is touted to be the slimmest POCO smartphone and will feature a 6.77-inch curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness.
In terms of performance, the upcoming smartphone will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, which is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. It will come with up to 16GB RAM.
On the camera front, the rear will feature a 50MP dual AI camera setup, while the front will house a 20MP sensor.
The POCO M8 5G will offer a 5,520mAh battery, backed by 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging support. It will also feature an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance.
The smartphone is expected to be launched under Rs 20,000 in India. However, the exact pricing details will be revealed at the launch.5)
Motorola is set to unveil the Motorola Signature in India on January 7. While the company remains tight-lipped about the official details of the smartphone, a recent leak by tipster Evan Blass suggests that the upcoming device will debut as a premium offering.
According to the leak, the Motorola Signature will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and could offer up to 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. In terms of battery, it is expected to pack a 5,200mAh battery with 90W TurboPower wired charging and 50W TurboPower wireless charging support.
On the camera front, the smartphone is expected to feature a 50MP primary rear sensor using the Sony LYTIA 828, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the device is said to house a 50MP selfie camera with a Sony LYTIA 500 sensor.
While there is no word yet on the pricing of the device, the specifications suggest that the Motorola Signature could launch as a premium-segment smartphone.
